A VISIT TO LEIGHTON HOUSE AND THE LINLEY SAMBOURNE HOUSE IN KENSINGTON - this visit will be preceded by a lecture on Leighton House on July 8th.  

 

Leighton House was the home of Frederic, Lord Leighton (1830 - 1896) and one of the most remarkable buildings of the 19th century.

 

Linley Sambourne House [pictured], 18 Stafford Terrace is a unique example of a late Victorian townhouse. Home to the cartoonist Edward Linley Sambourne and his family from 1874, it survives with almost all of its furniture and fittings intact.

TOURS

         

May 13th - 18th 2010

A VISIT TO ISTANBUL a 5-night visit to the European City of Culture 2010 staying in Old Istanbul close to all the major historical sites.   Visits will be made to Dolmabahce and Topkapi Palaces, St. Sophia and the Blue Mosque as well as to the Egyptian and Grand Bazaars.
